GTA 5 Lifeinvader Mission Tips from U4GM
#1
"Friend Request" is one of GTA V's sharpest missions because it turns a simple favour into a nasty little story about technology, ego, and private information. Michael De Santa wants Lester Crest's help with a major job, but Lester is not handing out favours for free. First, Michael has to enter Lifeinvader, a glossy social media firm built on user profiles, celebrity-style product reveals, and a workforce that seems barely old enough to drive. Players looking through GTA 5 Accounts will recognise the same mix of status, image, and reckless ambition that shapes this strange corner of Los Santos.

Reading the Room Before You Enter

The first challenge is not combat. It is presentation. Lester gives Michael a disguised gadget and sends him to a clothing shop in Vinewood. Michael swaps his usual suit for a younger, more relaxed outfit, usually a vest with cargo shorts. It looks a bit ridiculous, which is part of the joke. Lifeinvader is obsessed with youth, and Michael has to perform a version of it just long enough to get through the door.

Stage

Why it matters
1
Change clothes
Blend into the office crowd
2
Meet Rickie
Gain an employee's trust
3
Reach the demo room
Access the target device
4

See Lester's plan unfold

Rickie Turns a Locked Door Into a Shortcut

At the rear entrance, Michael waits until Rickie steps outside for a cigarette. Rickie assumes he is temporary technical staff and brings him inside. The office computer is covered with crude pop-ups, so Michael clears the screen and starts a security scan. It is a small scene, but it gives the mission its human rhythm. Rickie is nervous, distracted, and far too trusting. Michael does not need force. He only needs to look useful.

Wait near the rear entrance.
Follow Rickie into the office.
Clear the troublesome pop-ups.
Move into the demo room while nobody is watching.

The Prototype Is the Real Target

Inside the demo room, Michael finds the new Lifeinvader phone. He quietly removes its normal internal parts and fits the modified device supplied by Lester. The scene works because nothing looks dramatic at first. There is no shootout and no chase through the building. Michael simply walks out, drives back to Rockford Hills, and waits for the public presentation. That calm pause makes the coming television moment feel even more uncomfortable.

A Launch Built Around Ego

Jay Norris presents the phone on Weazel News with the confidence of a man who thinks every room belongs to him. He praises the product, celebrates the firm's young staff, and treats personal information like another item on a sales sheet. When he lifts the prototype to his ear, Michael calls from home. The broadcast cuts from polished marketing to sudden violence, exposing the danger beneath Lifeinvader's bright image. The mission lands because the joke is aimed at more than one executive: it mocks a culture that turns privacy, youth, and attention into merchandise, while players counting their GTA 5 Online Money can still enjoy the wider satire running through Los Santos.
